Santera Spirits LLC’s Santera Tequila now is available in New York. The tequila is offered in three varieties: Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. Santera Tequilas are crafted with 100 percent blue weber agave. Agave hearts harvested for Santera are the product of sustainable farming practices resulting in lower yield and higher quality tequila, the company says. Blanco is unaged; Reposado is aged up to seven months in American oak barrels to achieve complexity; and Añejo is aged up to 16 months, then blended with a touch of extra añejo to create a rich, brooding and complex tequila, the company says. The 40 percent alcohol-by-volume tequilas are available in 750-ml bottles. Blanco has a suggested retail price of $41.99, Reposado is priced at $46.99 and Añejo is priced at $54.99.
