The rum, which is blended in small lots by rum savant Toby Tyler, retails for $39 for 7-year, $59.99 for 15-year XO. Afrohead 15-Year XO begins creamy and builds to a toffee and caramel taste on the palate, the company says. Hints of vanilla and smooth caramel echo the notes of the bold spirit for an extra-long finish, it adds. Afrohead 7-Year offers notes of toasty oak and a hint of honey, according to the company. Its estery and creamy taste deliver hints of molasses and Bourbon wood accents with a ghost of vanilla, it adds.
