Honest Tea, an independent operating unit of The Coca-Cola Co., is expanding its Summer Refresher lineup with the release of its newest limited-edition flavor: Watermelon Lemonade. Playing off the popularity of watermelon as the most-consumed melon in the United States, the new lemonade beverage contains notes of ripe watermelon and a hint of rind, according to Honest Tea. All beverages in the Summer Refreshers line, which also includes Original Lemonade, Mango Lemonade, Mint Limeade, and Half & Half Lemonade & Tea varieties, are sweetened with Fair Trade certified sugar and contain 70 calories in each 8-ounce serving, the company says. The limited-edition flavors will be available in Whole Foods Market stores throughout the summer for a suggested retail price of $2.49 for a 32-ounce glass bottle.
