Blue Moon Brewing Co., a Golden, Colo.-based operating unit of MillerCoor’s Tenth and Blake Brewing Co., is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the planning of a new brewery that is scheduled to open in 2016.
“We just locked-down a prime location in the heart of Denver's rapidly growing RiNo Art District," said Keith Villa, founder and head brewmaster at Blue Moon Brewing Co., in a statement. "We founded Blue Moon on a belief that brewing is equal parts art and science, so it's pretty cool that 20 years later we get to design a new brewery in an area where we'll be surrounded by fellow artists."
This innovation and pilot brewery will include a tasting room, tours, and space for both indoor and outdoor events. When the new brewery opens next year, it will join Blue Moon Brewing Company at the SandLot, the company’s original brewery inside Coors Field in Denver, as the brewing team's canvas for creating, testing and perfecting new Blue Moon beers, the company says.
