St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch announced that its Bud Light Lime Ritas portfolio will add a summer seasonal to its lineup: Lemon-Ade-Rita.
Bud Light Lime Lemon-Ade-Rita is a ready-to-drink lemonade-margarita-flavored alcohol beverage with a twist of Bud Light Lime that is best served over ice, the company says. It joins the brand’s permanent flavors, Lime-A-Rita, Mang-O-Rita, Raz-Ber-Rita and Straw-Ber-Rita and seasonal flavors Apple-Rita and Cran-Brr-Rita.
"In just a few years since the brand's launch, the introduction of Rita flavors has been immensely successful among consumers, both through new permanent and seasonal variants," said Alexander Lambrecht, vice president of Bud Light, in a statement. "With the widespread popularity of our winter seasonal, Cran-Brrr-Rita, we saw that consumers have found drinking and entertaining occasions for Ritas throughout the entire year. We anticipate Lemon-Ade-Rita to continue to extend the seasonality of the Ritas portfolio and reinforce the brand's stake in the summer season."
In celebration of the newest flavor for the flavored malt beverage, Bud Light Lime Lemon-Ade-Rita collaborated with swimwear brand Kaohs to create a special-edition Gypsy bikini bathing suit in a custom Lemon-Ade-Rita color. Bathing suits are available for a limited time on http://kaohs.com/ for $82 an item.
Bud Light Lime Lemon-Ade-Rita will be available in 12-packs of 8-ounce cans, four-packs of 16-ounce cans and 25-ounce cans. Ritas contain 8 percent alcohol by volume except in Maine, New Hampshire and Tennessee where 6 percent versions are available.
