Proximo Spirits introduced Boodles British Gin in the United States. Unlike many other gins, Boodles British Gin does not contain any citrus ingredients, the company says. Because the gin should always be served with a slice of lemon or lime, adding citrus to the gin itself would be redundant, it notes. The gin also contains a number of traditional herbs and spices, including nutmeg, sage and rosemary. These ingredients add a mellow but herbal quality to Boodles, balancing out the piney notes of the juniper, it adds. A 750-ml bottle of Boodles British Gin contains 40 percent alcohol by volume and retails for approximately $23.99.
