Beverage Industry is saddened to report that American Beverage Association (ABA) Vice President of Membership and Administration Denise Burke passed away Sept. 8 at the age of 59. Denise served the beverage industry through her work at the ABA for more than 35 years. She was a strong advocate for the industry, as well as a valued friend to her colleagues and all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her personable nature, aptitude for making people at ease, and genuine ability to find humor in everything made her a perfect fit for selling the story of the ABA to prospective members and was integral to ABA’s success in retaining them. 

Denise was born and raised in Scranton, Pa.; a graduate of Marywood University; and a long-time resident of Alexandria, Va., and Rehoboth Beach, Del.
