Gordon Biersch Brewing Co. introduced its second 25th anniversary beer: Gordon Biersch Golden Export. The new craft beer is a German blonde helles-style lager created in keeping with techniques that Dortmunder breweries employed for the style in the mid-1800s, the company says. The “export” was added when beers of this style were shipped out of the region to other German states, it explains. The beer contains 4.9 percent alcohol by volume and 17 International Bittering Units. A six-pack of 12-ounce bottles has a suggested retail price between $8.99 and $9.99.
