The Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI), the Reston, Va.-based owner and producer of the Pack Expo family of tradeshows, announced that the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT), Dallas, will endorse and staff The Beverage Cooler Lounge at Pack Expo International 2014, which will take place Nov. 2-5 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
The Beverage Cooler Lounge is a networking hub that serves as a central meeting place and information center for beverage industry professionals at the show. ISBT experts will staff the lounge to help attendees find the best solutions for their operational challenges.
“This is the third time we’ve been involved with The Beverage Cooler Lounge, and the value it brings our members and other beverage industry professionals is outstanding,” said Larry Hobbs, executive director of ISBT, in a statement. “Here’s where they can connect, network and get some insight on the latest trends in the marketplace. And, because it’s on the show floor, they won’t miss a moment of Pack Expo. ”
Charles D. Yuska, president and chief executive officer of PMMI, added in a statement: “Beverage professionals account for a large percentage of Pack Expo attendees, and the expert beverage technologists of ISBT will provide the resources these attendees need to find the solutions to their challenges. We’re very pleased ISBT will once again endorse The Beverage Cooler Lounge.”
This year, Pack Expo International is co-located with Pharma Expo 2014, a joint venture between PMMI and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). The two shows have 1.1 million net square feet of combined exhibit space and are expected to attract 50,000 packaging and processing professionals and 2,000 exhibiting companies.
