Maloof Ventures first launched Never Hungover dietary supplements in select GNC stores in December and expanded the brand nationwide in early 2014. The hangover prevention shot or mixer is composed of a proprietary formula that helps neutralize and process the toxins caused by alcohol in the liver and kidneys, the company explains. It is made of a natural vitamin blend, antioxidants, amino acids, nutrients and minerals and packaged in a 2-ounce bottle. Never Hungover is designed to be consumed up to an hour before or while consuming alcohol; consumers experience optimal results when drinking one bottle for every four alcohol drinks, the company adds. The supplement is free of caffeine, gluten, carbohydrates, calories and sugars. A bottle has a suggested retail price of $3.99.
