Clément USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Martinique’s Héritiers H. Clément SA, added Clément Canne Bleue and Clément Select Barrel rums to its U.S. portfolio. Clément Canne Bleue is a white rum crafted from the juice extracted from Canne Bleue sugarcane. After distillation, the liquid slowly is reduced with distilled volcanic spring water to 50 percent alcohol by volume. A 750-ml bottle has a suggested retail price of $34.95. Clément Select Barrel is a dark rum aged for three years in previously used French oak barrels. As a result, the rum features sweet flavors of vanilla and light oak notes, the company says. A 750-ml bottle retails for approximately $29.95.
