The rums are made at the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados using black strap molasses and an exclusive, proprietary yeast. Each of the rums is a blend of column and pot-still distillate, aged in single batches in toasted American oak bourbon casks. The 3 Years Aged rum is a silver sipping rum that features subtle spice and wood notes, floral overtones and a hint of toasted caramel with a warm finish, the company says. The 12 Years Aged rum is a super-premium sipping rum with wood and spice notes, hints of vanilla and a warm finish, it adds. Containing 40 percent alcohol by volume, The Real McCoy Rum 3 Years Aged and 12 Years Aged are available in 750-ml bottles with suggested retail prices of $19.99 and $44.99, respectively.
