Domaine Ste. Michelle relaunched its sparkling wines with refined flavors, new packaging and a new name. Available in Brut, Brut Rose and Extra Dry varieties, Michelle sparkling wines are made with grapes sourced from Washington state’s Columbia Valley and crafted using the traditional methode champenoise technique, which adds effervescence to the wine via secondary fermentation. The Brut wine is composed of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris; the Brut Rose is made of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier; and the Extra Dry is a slightly sweeter version of the Brut, the company says. A 750-ml bottle has a suggested retail price of $14.
