Ninkasi Brewing Co. added Sterling Pils to its Prismatic Lager Series. Available in bottles and on draught through June, Sterling Pils is a German-style pilsner brewed with North American ingredients, such as Sterling hops from Washington, premium pilsner malt from Montana and Idaho, and water from the Pacific Northwest. With 5.1 percent alcohol by volume and 30 International Bittering Units, the beer features a grassy, straw and earthy noble-like hop aroma with a toasted malt taste profile and hints of honey, the company says. A six-pack of 12-ounce bottles retails for approximately $8.99.
