Francis Ford Coppola Winery added a Sauvignon Blanc varietal to its Director’s Cut series of wines. The 2012 Francis Ford Coppola Director’s Cut Alexander Valley Sauvignon Blanc is made of 100 percent Sauvignon Blanc and contains 13.5 percent alcohol by volume. The vintage was produced in a “New World” style, fermented and finished exclusively in stainless steel, maintaining crisp, natural flavors with balanced flavors of pineapple, lemon and a touch of fig, clove and minerals, according to the company. A 750-ml bottle has a suggested retail price of $21.
