Vision Wine & Spirits LLC launched Wines for Dummies, a new line of wines named after the “For Dummies” reference book series. The line is targeted at beginner and novice wine drinkers and was developed to make the wine experience easier, the company says. Each wine in the line is carefully sourced to reflect its appellation, and the labels include phonetic spellings of the grape varietals, easy-to-understand descriptions and food pairings meant to take the intimidation factor out of the process, it adds. The Wines for Dummies line includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Chianti and Pinot Grigio varieties. A 750-ml bottle has a suggested retail price of $9.99.
