In May, Louisville Distilling Co. will introduce Angel’s Envy rye whiskey featuring 95 percent rye and 5 percent malted barley. The whiskey is aged for six years in American new charred oak barrels and finished in Caribbean rum casks for up to 18 months, resulting in a 100-proof spirit that mixes raw, spicy and earthy rye notes with sweetness imparted by rum finishing, the company says. A 750-ml bottle has a suggested retail price of $79.99.
