O’Fallon Brewery released its spring seasonal Rager Red Irish Ale, which is available through April. The beer is made with two-row barley, a blend of Munich and caramel malts, as well as Magnum and Tradition hops for bitterness. It also includes peated malt, which is traditionally used in Irish whiskeys, the company says. With 5.5 percent alcohol by volume and 20 International Bittering Units, the beer is available in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and kegs that are priced at parity with other O’Fallon brands.
