Premium Blend Inc. launched El Guitarron agave wine imported from Mexico. According to the company, tequila starts out as fermented agave wine and then it is distilled into hard liquor. El Guitarron is fermented and filtered to retain all of the agave flavor, the company says. A 750-ml bottle contains 24 percent alcohol by volume and retails for approximately $9.99.
