In February, Bonfire Wines will introduce its first wines in sustainable, portable pouches and cartons aimed at millennial consumers. The eco-friendly pouches require fewer trucks for transportation, using less fuel and creating fewer emissions than the same amount of glass bottles, the company says. Additionally, the compact packaging chills in 65 percent less time than a traditional bottle. A built-in spout lets consumers enjoy wine by the glass and keeps the wine fresh for four weeks after opening, it says. The wine will be available in two varieties: Ignite, a sweet white wine blend, and Ember, a sweet red wine blend. A 1.5-liter pouch will retail for approximately $15.99, and a 500-ml carton will have a suggested retail price of $4.99.
