Honest Tea continued its national recycling campaign, The Great Recycle, in August with a stop in Seattle. The company placed a 30-foot-tall inflatable recycling bin in the shadow of the Space Needle and later moved it outside of a soccer stadium. People were invited to recycle plastic bottles and redeem reusable bags, T-shirts, sunglasses, cold bottles of Honest Tea and mountain bikes. More than 12,000 plastic bottles were recycled during the three-day event, and 15 individuals contributed more than 200 beverage containers each, earning certificates for a free mountain bike.
