Nth Degree Innovations Inc. launched a line of performance drinks with a low glycemic index. Nth Degree Low Gi Performance Drinks are formulated with Palatinose, a low-glycemic, functional carbohydrate derived from sugar beets that digests fully and more slowly than other sweeteners, resulting in a full supply of energy from carbohydrates over a longer period of time, the company says. Additionally, the drinks are fortified with vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B12 as well as electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium. Nth Degree Low Gi Performance Drinks are available in Lemon Citrus, Orange, Raspberry and Fruit Punch flavors, all of which do not contain artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. A 20-ounce bottle has a suggested retail price of $2.49.
