Odell Brewing Co. released its first single-serve beer of the year. Footprint Region Ale pays tribute to the brewery’s “distribution footprint,” sourcing select ingredients from each of its 10 distribution states to create a number of small batch brews that were then blended into one larger brew. Guest brewers comprised of distributor partners, retailers, co-workers and friends from each state were invited to Odell Brewing to help with the brews. Footprint includes hops and barley from Colorado and Idaho, wheat from Kansas and Wyoming, prickly pear from Arizona, wild rice from Minnesota, corn from Nebraska, green chilies from New Mexico, honey from South Dakota and oak barrels from Missouri. The final blend presents a golden hue, an oaky stone fruit nose and a sweetness from the wheat and honey that is balanced with a subtle spicy, dry finish, the company says. Footprint RegionAle is available in 750-ml. cork and cage finished bottles for $13.99 each.
