Odwalla, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, introduced a new line of 150-calorie Smoothie Refreshers. Designed to complement meals, Odwalla Smoothie Refreshers are described by the company as having a refreshingly light texture and are available in Mango Lime Twist, Mixed Berry Shuffle and Pear Berry Jive flavors.
The Smoothie Refreshers are a flavored blend of six juices, including coconut water, and contain 100 percent of the recommended daily value of vitamin C in each 12-ounce bottle. Similar to other Odwalla beverages, the new line is made with not-from-concentrate juices and do not contain any genetically modified organisms, the company says.
The new products are packaged in Coca-Cola’s 100 percent recyclable PlantBottle packaging and are available in the refrigerated section of natural food stores, select supermarkets and specialty outlets throughout the United States.
