Comax Flavors, Melville, N.Y., opened Comax Flavors Latin America in Bogota, Colombia, that will service the Latin American market.
DSM, The Netherlands,
announced that its patented Micabs additive technology for laser marking
can be safely used in plastic caps and closures as it is in full compliance
with the relevant requirements of the U.S. Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic
Act and the EU Framework Directive 1935/2004.
Aromatech Group, Orlando,
Fla. opened its sixth subsidiary in Orlando. The new location coordinates
all flavoring projects for its North, South and Central American customers.
In compliance with the Aromatech Group’s foreign location strategy,
the U.S. office is equipped with an R&D lab to respond to tailor-made
developments. All technical documentation, sampling, application and
product adaptation to local tastes and legislation will be managed from
this office.
Lion Nathan New Zealand
has awarded Archer Daniels Midland with its Platinum Quality Award. ADM Malting New
Zealand Ltd. received the award for its product development support of
Steinlager Pure, a new 100 percent malt beer. ADM received the award for
its work toward optimizing malt specifications of a particular variety of
barley — Fairview — to Lion’s product development work.
Lion Breweries presented the Platinum Quality Award at its annual Lion
Nathan Supplier Dinner in June.
