A Global Pump Company
An annual production of some 10 million units makes Grundfos one of the leading pump manufacturers in the world. The Grundfos Group is represented by 58 companies in 43 countries worldwide, and its products are merchandised in a large number of countries through local distributors. Founded in 1945 by Poul Due Jensen, the group today is owned by the Poul Due Jensen Foundation, which is the main shareholder of all Grundfos companies. The aim of the foundation is to consolidate and expand the economic basis of the continued growth of the Grundfos Group, which means the profits of the Foundation are to be re-invested in the Grundfos companies.
Grundfos pumps are used for heating, ventilation and
air conditioning for domestic purposes. For industry applications, Grundfos
manufactures pumps for boilers, booster plants and other industrial
purposes, including integrated OEM systems. Grundfos pumps also are used
for water supply and wastewater treatment. In addition, Grundfos
manufactures electric motors for the pumps and other purposes, and develops
and produces state-of-the-art electronics for controls for pumps and
pumping systems as well as other systems.
Sustainable development is a key concept at Grundfos
when it comes to production and energy consumption of the products during
their lifetime. — Grundfos Pumps Corp., 17100 W. 118th Terrace, Olathe, Kan. 66061;
