RFID reader
ACG Identification GmbH has launched a high-speed,
fully ISO 14443 A- and B- compatible RFID reader. The HF Dual ISO Reader is
available in three versions: an OEM module for customers who mainly want to
design their own reader and antenna-board and only require a basic RFID
reader-engine; a short-range plug-and-play board with USB interface for
customers who wish to quickly integrate the reader into their own packaging
without the need to develop an antenna; and a ready-to-use housed
short-range desktop reader with USB interface. The HF Dual ISO Reader is
interoperable with nearly all RFID transponder solutions. The additional
transparent mode allows communication with highly complex and
well-protected contactless microcontroller smart cards as well. A built-in
advanced anti-collision algorithm enables the reader to read numerous tags
presented to the reader simultaneously.

Optimized bearings
SKF has introduced the Explorer, single-row,
deep-groove ball bearings recommended for applications such as electric
motors, gearboxes, and equipment utilized in the packaging, food and
beverage, medical, general manufacturing and construction industries. The
ball bearings feature optimized raceways and cage geometry, dimensional
accuracy to ISO tolerance Class 6 and ABMA ABEC Class 3, and width
tolerance tighter than ISO tolerance class Normal. The bearings also offer
advanced sealing designs, which maximize grease retention and provide
protection against contaminants without compromising speed capabilities.
Lubricant options in sealed or shielded versions include ultra-quiet, food
quality and high-temperature greases.
