Vitaminwater debuts bone health fortified variety
Glaceau, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, introduced Vitaminwater Stur-D, a variety fortified with vitamin D and calcium to help support strong bones. The new Vitaminwater variety is an enhanced water and juice beverage available in a blue agave, passion fruit and citrus flavor blend.
Vitaminwater Stur-D contains 5 percent juice and derives its blue color solely from fruit, the company said. It is the only Vitaminwater variety to contain juice and is the first nationally available enhanced water and juice beverage with a fruit-derived blue color, the company said.
Each 8-ounce serving of Vitaminwater Stur-D contains 10 percent of the daily value of vitamin D and calcium to help support strong bones, 120 percent of the daily value of vitamin C to help the body make the collagen necessary to support joints, and 40 percent of the daily value of vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B12.
The new addition to the Vitaminwater line will be available in December for a suggested retail price of $1.49.
