Cheerwine-filled Krispy Kreme doughnuts hit Carolinas
Cheerwine, Salisbury, N.C., and Krispy Kreme, Winston-Salem,
N.C., have teamed up to release “Cheerwine
Kreme Filled Doughnuts” in select North Carolina
and South Carolina
grocery stores.
The doughnuts are available this month only in grocery stores, including Lowes Foods, Bi-Lo Stores, Harris Teeter and Food Lion, the companies said.
“Knowing how loyal a following both brands have in the Carolinas and that the product is only available for a limited time, we can anticipate how excited fans will line up to get their hands on these awesome doughnuts,” said Tom Barbitta, Cheerwine’s vice president of marketing, in a statement. “Our vision is to build on this idea over time as we gauge demand in 2010.”
