Sweet Tea Leaf, Austin, Texas, promoted Dan Costello from president to chief executive officer, replacing founder Clayton Christopher.
Since becoming the company’s president in 2009, Costello has helped develop new packaging, flavors and distribution networks, the company said, in a statement. Costello formerly was the general manager for Nestlé Waters North America. Clayton will remain on the company’s board of directors.
“It’s an exciting time to be at Sweet Leaf Tea,” Costello said, in a statement. “Clayton built an incredibly dynamic company with hard-working and dedicated employees and a strong commitment to creating the best tasting, highest quality teas. We’re able to grow this company and bring more of our natural teas and flavored beverages to more people across the country because of his tremendous effort and vision.”
