PepsiCo announced that Diet Dew Supernova, a Strawberry Melon flavor, won the brand’s Fan-Dew-monium Diet Dew Challenge to become the brand’s newest flavor. The challenge gave Mountain Dew fans the opportunity to vote for the next permanent flavor of Diet Mountain Dew. Fans had the chance to try eight potential new flavors at a traveling Tasting Tour in late 2010. The top two flavors – Diet Dew Supernova and Voltage – went on sale for a limited time in early March and 300,000 unique visitors voted for their favorite online. With 55 percent of the vote, Diet Dew Supernova is the latest permanent addition to the Diet Mountain Dew family.
