Peet’s Coffee & Tea released a limited-edition Alta de Dota Single Origin Special Roast coffee. Alta de Dota originates from Coope Dota, a coffee cooperative in Costa Rica known for its sustainability practices, the company says. The region’s elevation and micro-climate in the Dota Valley give the coffee a citric quality and deep, fruity undertones, which are a result of leaving a quantity of the coffee cherries on the tree until purple ripe, the company says. Peet’s Coffee & Tea Alta de Dota Single Origin Special Roast will be available through Oct. 31 for $14.95 per pound at Peet’s Coffee & Tea retail locations and online.
