10 startups will receive $20K in grant funding, 6-month mentorship program

PepsiCo, Purchase, N.Y., announced the 10 emerging food and beverage brands that will join its second annual North America Greenhouse program. Each of the participating startups will receive $20,000 in grant funding and participate in a six-month business program designed to accelerate their growth through personalized mentorship.
The 2020 program seeks to collaborate with purpose-driven brands at the forefront of transformative trends that are changing the way consumers eat and drink.
With so many new products being launched in the beverage market, beverage ingredient suppliers are offering new capabilities to assist in the research and development process.
Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo announced its partnership with Entrepreneurship with Impact Ventures, a subsidiary of Ahead of the Curve, an organization established to build an ecosystem to support socially innovative business models in the Arab region.
The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, is expanding its 5by20 initiative to enable the economic empowerment of women beyond its pilot programs in four countries to a total of 12 countries: Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, Haiti, India, Kenya, Mexico, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa and Thailand.
