Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo brands Mountain Dew and Doritos announced the return of their Double XP promotion as part of the Nov. 6 launch of the Halo 4 video game. Double XP provides fans with unique opportunities to experience the next installment of the gaming saga, the companies say.
The International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) and the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) will conduct their two conferences during the same dates at the same location. The 2012 IBWA Annual Business Conference and Tabletop Trade Show will be Nov. 12-16, and the 2012 NAMA CoffeeTea&Water event will be Nov. 13-15. Both conferences will be at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans.

Now in its third year, PepsiCo10 identifies promising emerging technologies that can be applied to brands to engage consumers in new ways to help drive sales. PepsiCo10 Brazil will be the first PepsiCo10 program focused on an emerging market.
In honor of National Coffee Day, celebrated this year on Sept. 29, Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin’ Donuts and Chicago-based CareerBuilder conducted a survey to determine the latest coffee consumption trends in the work place. The survey was conducted from Aug. 13 to Sept. 6 and included more than 4,100 workers nationwide.
Bethesda, Md.-based Honest Tea, a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta, unveiled its reformulated Honest Kids “fruit-juice sweetened” line of beverages. All five varieties of the juice pouches have been reformulated to remove the organic cane sugar and increase the juice content. Honest Kids beverages now have between 30 and 42 percent juice, an increase by 12 to 26 percentage points, depending on the variety. Nutritionally, the drinks remain at 40 calories for each 6.75-fluid-ounce pouch.
Heineken USA, White Plains, N.Y., redesigned its signature green bottle. As the company’s first bottle change since 1946, the “Star Bottle” is set to launch in select markets in New York state this month and nationally beginning in March 2013.

One of the 20 new beverages launched by the company in the last two years, the V-Fusion juice boxes join the V8 portfolio of beverages and offer a convenient, on-the-go way to consume vegetables, the company says.
