Packaging opens sparkling waters up to new channels

Cascade Ice, a brand of Everett, Wash.-based Unique Beverage Co. LLC, will introduce a proprietary 7-ounce slim bottle design for a select few of its zero-calorie sparkling flavored waters. Beginning in September, Cascade Ice Lemonade, Coconut, Black Raspberry, Orange Mango and Pink Grapefruit varieties will be available in individual 7-ounce bottles and six-packs of 7-ounce bottles.

This football season, Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co.’s Coke Zero brand is celebrating the countdown to each week’s game day with a new, fully integrated campaign. The campaign celebrates the countdown culture of stocking up for tailgate party foods, singing fight songs at pep rallies, and making signs to cheer on a favorite team while integrating traditional media, social media engagement and ESPN’s “College GameDay” TV show for a second year.

Craft brewer to expand supply with distribution partner James Clay

This September, Left Hand Brewing Co., Longmont, Colo., will expand its craft beer supply across the United Kingdom with distribution partner James Clay, a U.K.-based importer and distributor of craft beer with 25 years of experience. In addition, Left Hand named Sharona Selby as its first on-site, international brewery representative to represent the brand in the U.K. market.
Maxwell House, Gevalia, Yuban and McCafé brands to join family of Keurig brands

Waterbury, Vt.-based Keurig Green Mountain Inc. and Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods Group Inc. announced a multi-year licensing, manufacturing and distribution agreement for Kraft's branded coffees in Keurig portion pack formats compatible with Keurig consumer and commercial brewing systems in the United States.
Racks designed to entice bottled water sales at foodservice locations

Kraft Foodservice, a division of Northfield, Ill.-based Kraft Foods Group Inc., is offering free merchandising racks for its Mio liquid water enhancers. Designed to boost bottled water sales at foodservice locations, the company is offering two options: a hitchhiker rack or a cooler door rack.
Cold-brewed coffees are gaining attention in the marketplace, including among Beverage Industry readers. Showing their affinity for ready-to-drink, cold-brewed coffee, 22 percent of voters named High Brew Coffee as the best new product that was posted on www.bevindustry.com during the month of July, making the new lineup the winner of the magazine’s July Readers’ Choice Product of the Month poll.
