AB InBev subsidiary to host release events in nine cities

On Friday, Nov. 28, Chicago-based Goose Island Beer Co. will release its Bourbon County Brand Stout (BCBS) line of barrel-aged beers through special beer-centric Black Friday events in nine cities including Boston; Chicago; Dallas; Philadelphia; Phoenix; San Francisco; Los Angeles; and Jacksonville, Fla. Black Friday has become a beer drinker’s holiday and a true reminder that good things come to those that wait, according to the brand of Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), Leuven, Belgium.
Technomic highlights top beer, wine, spirits brands

The night before Thanksgiving tends to be one of the busiest nights for bars and restaurants. This year Chicago-based Technomic Inc. foresees big sales on-premise for some of the fastest-growing beer, wine and spirits brands.
White Plains, N.Y.-based Heineken USA’s Newcastle beer brand is kicking off a brand-new series of “collaboration edition” beers made with some of Europe’s finest and oldest breweries. To brew the first offering in the series, the brand turned to its Edinburgh, Scotland-based sister brewery Caledonian to develop an ale that brings world-class traditional British brewing to casual beer drinkers around the world, Newcastle explains.
San Diego-based Green Flash Brewing Co. announced that it has acquired Alpine Beer Co., also of San Diego. Green Flash Founders Mike and Lisa Hinkley and Alpine Beer Founders Pat and Val McIlhenney noted that the merger will allow the breweries to join forces to share resources, knowledge and experience.
