The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA), Alexandria, Va., kicked off the first full day of its 77th Annual Convention on Sept. 29 in New Orleans. The first full day of the convention focused on the regulatory, commercial and economic value of distributors.

This September, Left Hand Brewing Co., Longmont, Colo., will expand its craft beer supply across the United Kingdom with distribution partner James Clay, a U.K.-based importer and distributor of craft beer with 25 years of experience. In addition, Left Hand named Sharona Selby as its first on-site, international brewery representative to represent the brand in the U.K. market.

White Plains, N.Y.-based Heineken USA’s Newcastle beer brand is resurrecting its Werewolf Blood-Red Ale for the 2014 Halloween season. The company reports that the brew was its top-selling imported, limited-edition beer last year.
