Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. released its fourth quarter and full-year 2014 results. It reported that global sparkling beverage volume grew 1 percent in both the quarter and full year driven by growth from the Coca-Cola, Sprite and Fanta brands. Coca-Cola brand volume was up 1 percent in the quarter and grew slightly for the full year, rounding to even.
On the drive through Crenshaw County in Alabama, motorists will see a number of small towns, vast woodlands and maybe a few deer. But as drivers pass the handful of restaurants and general stores throughout the county, they might also notice something else: the Pepsi logo.

Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, Charlotte, N.C., announced it has signed a definitive agreement with an affiliate of Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co. to expand the bottler’s franchise territory to include the Cleveland and Cookeville, Tenn., territories, which currently are served by Coca-Cola Refreshments USA Inc. (CCR), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Co.
In the midst of the test launch of its new Pepsi HomeMade line in Florida markets, SodaStream USA, Mt. Laurel, N.J., reports that consumer responses for the trial products have thus far been positive.
San Antonio Spurs’ Matt Bonner named brand’s new ambassador

Austin, Texas-based Big Red Inc. signed San Antonio Spurs Forward-Center Matt Bonner as its newest brand ambassador. Nicknamed “The Red Mamba,” Bonner will appear on Big Red soda displays at hundreds of stores across central and south Texas beginning this month. Next spring, the brand also plans to host a text-to-win sweepstakes through which fans can win Bonner’s autographed Spurs jersey.
