The Pepsi-Lipton Tea Partnership announced the launch of Lipton Sparkling Green Tea. The product is a blend of fruit flavors, green tea and sparkling water. Lipton Sparking Green Tea is available in regular Berry and both diet and regular Strawberry Kiwi. The flavors are packaged in 20-ounce and 1.5-liter bottles, and 16.9-ounce 12-packs.
PepsiCo Inc. relaunched Propel in a new lighter bottle that uses 33 percent less plastic and 30 percent less label material than the previous bottles. It also added a Blueberry Pomegranate variety and launched two new sub lines with added nutrients: Propel Body and Propel Mind. Propel Body is available in Peach Mango and contains 10 percent of the daily value of fiber, the company says. Propel Mind comes in Black Cherry, and contains vitamin E, plus choline. The new flavors and packaging are available in 20- and 24-ounce bottles, as well as 16.9-ounce six- and 12-packs. A 20-ounce bottle retails for $1.59
Sunkist Naturals, owned by Maverick Brands, added Sunkist Naturals Lemonade to its line of juices. The Lemonade contains antioxidants and no preservatives. The flavor is seasonal and replaces the Tangerine SKU. The company will begin production of Tangerine again in the fall. Sunkist Naturals Lemonade is packaged in 15.2-ounce bottles and retails for $2.99.
Inko’s added Lemon White Tea, the company’s 11th ready-to-drink white tea. The product has 56 calories and 5.8 mgs. of caffeine per bottle. A bottle retails for $1.59.
Red Bull USA expanded its line of energy drinks with Red Bull Energy Shot and Red Bull Sugarfree Shot. Red Bull Energy Shots are concentrated, non-carbonated versions of Red Bull Energy Drink. Red Bull Energy Shot and Red Bull Sugarfree Shot contain taurine, glucuronolactone and caffeine, and 25 and 2 calories, respectively. In June, both products will be available in re-sealable 2-ounce bottles.
Innovative Beverage Group Holdings Inc. launched Drank, a relaxation beverage. Drank contains melatonin, valerian root and rose hips to help relax the body and mind, the company says. The product has 100 calories per serving. In addition, the lightly carbonated grape-flavored beverage is packaged in a 16-ounce can, and retails between $1.99 and $2.49.

Starbucks Coffee Co. launched Via Ready Brew, an instant coffee made with coffee beans sourced from the top 3 percent of the world’s coffee supply, the company says. Via Ready Brew is pre-portioned into single-serve packets and packaged in books of three or boxes of 12, retailing for $2.95 and $9.95, respectively. Colombia and Italian Roast are the initial flavors in the line. The planned national rollout of Starbucks Via Ready Brew is fall of this year, but the product currently is available in Seattle and Illinois Starbucks stores.
