Dilmah Tea added distribution and released its Watte Single Estate Teas, Premium Single Origin Pure Ceylon Black Teas and Single Origin Pure Ceylong Green Teas in the United States. The teas are grown at different elevations from 800 feet to 6,000 feet, which give the teas a variety of flavors, the company says. A box or tin of tea retails between $3.99 and $7.99.
NBI Juiceworks added Sun Shower Organic Mocha Cappuccino to its line of fortified coffee and tea beverages. Mocha Cappuccino contains the company’s “Lifeguard Protection” nutritional package of protein, vitamins A and E, zinc, organic non-fat milk, calcium and magnesium. A 9.5-ounce bottle contains 170 calories and retails for $2.49.
Batrachian Spirits debuted its Señor Frogs Tequilas in the United States. The Tequila is made from blue agave and is available in Señor Frog’s Plata and Señor Frog’s Reposado varieties. Señor Frog’s Plata is an un-oaked tequila with a dry, medium body, and Señor Frog’s Reposado is aged four months in white oak barrels and contains hints of vanilla, the company says. 750-ml. bottles of Señor Frog’s Plata and Señor Frog’s Reposado retail for $25.99 and $29.99, respectively.
Zico launched its Zico Pure Premium Coconut Water in 1-liter containers. Previously available in 11-ounce Tetra Paks, the new size is designed to offer consumers more options in a take-home size, the company says. The new 1-liter containers of Mango and Passion Fruit have the same nutrient profile as Zico Natural, which already is available in a 1-liter size. The new size retails for $5.49.
Arizona Beverage Co. released Arizona Kidz teas. For every six-pack sold, the company says it will donate 5 percent of net sales to Operation Smile, a non-profit organization that works to help children born with facial deformities. Information about Operation Smile appears on each 10-ounce bottle, which also includes soccer ball, basketball or baseball shapes incorporated into the design. Arizona Kidz teas contain vitamin C and 60 calories per serving. A six-pack retails for $2.99.
The Coca-Cola Co. added Minute Maid Strawberry Kiwi to its line of Minute Maid Enhanced juice drinks. The flavor combines yerba mate and real fruit juice. The 59-ounce PET bottles feature an “easy pour” side grip to stand out on retail shelves, the company says. Minute Maid Strawberry Kiwi joins Minute Maid Pomegranate Blueberry, Minute Maid Pomegranate Lemonade, Minute Maid Pomegranate Flavored Tea and Minute Maid Heart Wise Orange Juice.
Glaceau, a division of The Coca-Cola Co., added four varieties to its Vitaminwater10 line. Vitaminwater10 Go-Go (mixed berry) contains 250 mgs. of ribose, and vitamins C and E; Vitaminwater10 Mega-C (grape raspberry) is formulated with zinc and B vitamins; Vitaminwater10 Revitalize (green tea) contains EGCG and green tea polyphenols; and Vitaminwater10 Recoup (peach-mandarin) has vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B12. The product is packaged in 16-ounce four-packs and 20-ounce bottles. A bottle retails for $1.49.
The Coca-Cola Co. released Odwalla Wholly Grain, a juice blend that contains 32 grams of whole grains from gluten-free brown rice as well as orange, pineapple and mango juices. The blend also offers vitamins B1, B2, A, C and E. Wholly Grain is packaged in 15.2-ounce plastic bottles.
PepsiCo expanded its Mountain Dew line with Diet Mountain Dew UltraViolet. The product combines the citrus flavor of Mountain Dew with mixed berries, and no calories. Diet Mountain Dew UltraViolet is available nationwide for twelve weeks beginning August 10. The product is available in 20-ounce bottles and 12-ounce 12-packs. A 20-ounce bottle retails for $1.39.
High Voltage Beverages added Blue Melon Shock to its Volt line of carbonated soft drinks. Blue Melon Shock joins Original Citrus Shock, Diet Citrus Shock, Tropical Mango Shock, Pineapple Shock and Fruit Punch Shock. The product contains caffeine, taurine, ginseng and guarana. Blue Melon Shock is available in 20-ounce bottles.
