The Boston Beer Co. introduced Samuel Adams Harvest Collection, a new seasonal variety pack. The collection features six craft beers, including a new style, Samuel Adams Dunkelweizen. Dunkelweizen translates to “dark wheat” and is a traditional German ale brewed as a darker and stronger version of the Bavarian Weissbier from the 15th Century, the company says. The other craft beers in Samuel Adams Harvest Collection include Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Samuel Adams OctoberFest, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat, Samuel Adams Brown Ale and Samuel Adams Irish Red Ale. The variety pack retails between $13.99 and $15.99.
Pernod Ricard USA expanded its line of Kahlua offerings with the limited-edition Kahlua Coffee Cream Liqueur. The product is made with cream and Arabica coffee beans, shade-grown in the Veracruz region of Mexico. Kahlua Coffee Cream Liqueur is available through Dec. 31, and a 750-ml. bottle retails for $17.99.
Anheuser-Busch launched Select 55, a golden lager with 55 calories and 1.9-grams of carbohydrates per 12-ounce serving. Select 55 is made with a blend of imported and domestic caramel malts. The product is available in 12-ounce bottles, six-packs, 12-packs, and 12-ounce aluminum cans in 12- and 18-packs.
