The Herb Plus teas are available in Pomegranate Blueberry Herb Plus, Cranberry & Ginseng Herb Plus, Wild Blueberry Acai Herb Plus and Lemon Ginger Herb Plus varieties. Pomegranate Blueberry Herb Plus contains omega 3 DHA; Lemon Ginger Herb Plus has probiotic GanedenBC30; Cranberry & Ginseng Herb Plus combines choline and B vitamins; and Wild Blueberry Acai Herb Plus blends wild blueberry, hibiscus, rosehips and grape seed extract.
SwingJuice developed a low-sodium hybrid energy drink of the same name. SwingJuice Energy Drink is available in Fruit Punch, Pomegranate Berry, Orange Mango, Lemonade, Sugar Free Pink Lemonade and Diet Lemon Ice Tea varieties. The flavors contain gingko biloba, ginseng, taurine, caffeine, niacin and vitamins D, B12 and B6. A bottle retails for $1.49.
Alacer Corp. added three shot products under the Emergen-C brand. Emergen-C Health & Energy Booster, Emergen-C Immune+ System Booster and Emergen-C Alert! Energy & Focus Booster. Emergen-C Immune+ and Emergen-C Alert! are packaged in 2.5-ounce shot containers as well as flavored fizzy drink mix packets. Emergen-C Alert! contains green tea extract and vitamin B12. Emergen-C Immune+ provides 1,000 mgs. of vitamin C, prebiotics and zinc. Emergen-C Health & Energy Booster carries vitamins C and B, electrolytes and antioxidants.
Naked Juice, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, added Chai Spiced Cider to its juice and juice smoothie lines. A 15.2-ounce bottle contains the juice of four and a half apples, for more than three servings of fruit. Chai Spiced Cider also blends the taste of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves, the company says. The product is available in 15.2-ounce and 32-ounce bottles, retailing for $3.29 and $5.19, respectively.
Global Beverage Enterprises Inc. released Mr. Q Cumber, a sparkling cucumber beverage. Mr. Q Cumber contains 90 calories and is packaged in a 7-ounce glass bottle. The product joins Mr. Q Sparkling Vodka and Mr. Q Sparkling Gin. A bottle retails for $1.09.
Bio-Engineered Supplements & Nutrition Inc. introduced Syntha-6, a lean-muscle protein beverage with 40 grams of protein. Syntha-6 is fortified with branched-chain amino acidss, medium-chain triglycerides, fatty acids and fiber. A 16.9-ounce Tetra Pak package is available in Chocolate, Banana, Strawberry and Vanilla varieties.
Amazing Grass introduced Wild Berry Kidz Superfood, a drink powder that combines 32 fruits and vegetables with yumberry flavor. The powder mixes with water or juice, and is offered in a 200-gram canister and in a 15-count box of single-serve packets. The Wild Berry flavor contains 1 gram of sugar per serving, and it joins the Chocolate version. A 200-gram canister and 15-count box retail for $24.99 and $21.99, respectively.
Vuka launched Awaken, Think, Workout and Renew, sparkling juice-based energy drinks. Awaken is orange juice-based; Think is a lightly carbonated pomegranate lychee drink; Workout is a lightly carbonated berry lemonade beverage with rooibos tea; and Renew is a mango peach-flavored drink. The products are packaged in 16-ounce aluminum bottles, and an 8-ounce serving contains 80 mg. of caffeine. A bottle retails for $3.49.
Oxley created a cold-distilled gin with the same name. By using a cold-distillation process with sub-zero temperatures, Oxley preserves the gin’s botanical flavors, aromas and natural ingredients, the company says. The gin is made with botanical ingredients including Juniper, hand-peeled citrus fruits and Meadowsweet. For a limited time, Oxley is available in select bars and retail outlets in New York, California and Las Vegas. The product is 47 percent alcohol by volume. A 1-liter bottle retails for $50.
Monster Energy launched Nitrous Monster, an energy drink that features nitrous oxide gas technology. The product is nitrogenated, so nitrous is in the liquid and does not have the same “medicinal” effects that laughing gas does, the company says. Nitrous Monster is packaged in the resealable 12-ounce Rexam Sleek Cap Can with closure technology from Dayton Systems Group. The product is available in Killer-B, Super Dry and Anti-Gravity varieties. Killer-B contains honey, B vitamins, bee pollen and royal jelly; Super Dry offers a similar texture to Champagne; and Anti-Gravity is very potent so consumers will feel as if they can defy gravity, the company says.
