Coffee company plants trees for every bag of coffee purchased through 2016

Seattle-based Starbucks Coffee Co. expanded its commitment to supporting the specialty coffee industry by announcing that it will distribute coffee trees to farmers most impacted by coffee rust, a plant fungus that damages millions of coffee trees around the world, the company says. Through September 2016, Starbucks will plant a coffee tree for every bag of coffee purchased in participating U.S. stores.
Company will move all single-serve varieties to new EcoCup

Marley Coffee announced the first official retail shipment of the new recyclable EcoCup, an easy-to-recycle single-serve capsule that’s compatible with most Keurig K-Cup machines.
Galena Brewing Co. expanded its packaging lineup to include three beers in Rexam 16-ounce cans — Anna Belle’s IPA, a ruby beer with a burst of hop flavors and aromas paired with a malt backbone; Farmer’s Blonde Ale, a light ale; and Fevre River Ale Hefeweizen, a classic Bavarian style wheat beer with a medium to heavy mouth feel, the company says.
