Beverage Industry identifies top performers of last year

Beverage Industry’s Top 100 Beverage Companies report, based on 2021 fiscal year sales, reflects the ebbs and flows that different factions of alcohol and non-alcohol beverage market experienced this past year.
As the pandemic put an extra halo on bottled water, the category has continued to show growth across many segments, particularly sparkling as more consumers switch to the format in the name of health and wellness.
The future remains bright for the bottled water category, particularly as consumer demand for enhanced waters and sparkling waters are strong, assisted by healthy positioning and lots of innovation.

Bottled water reaffirmed its position as America’s top packaged drink in 2020, outselling all other packaged beverages (by volume) for a fifth year in a row, according to new data from Beverage Marketing Corporation (BMC), New York.
New name reflects company’s milestone as independent company

The company formerly known as Nestlé Waters North America announced that it has begun operating under a new corporate name: BlueTriton Brands. This announcement follows the completion of its acquisition by One Rock Capital Partners LLC, in partnership with Metropoulos & Co., from Nestlé S.A., on March 31.
Sustainability is the No. 1 attribute of this year’s top packaging designs. Artistic collaborations also are helping brands stand out on store shelves.
The bottled water category continues its premium turn, as beverage-makers experiment with new ways to improve water’s hydrating ability and add extra health benefits.
Toast H2O, produced by The Miami Distilling Co. and bottled by Savani Water, unveiled its new bottled water product: Toast H2O alkaline purified water.
