Nine new partners form network in brand’s 35th state

Fort Collins, Colo.-based New Belgium Brewing signed deals with nine wholesale partners to distribute its beer in Ohio starting Dec. 16. New Belgium’s 22-ounce Fat Tire, Ranger India Pale Ale (IPA), seasonal release Accumulation White IPA and Lips of Faith beers will be available throughout the state as a result of the new partnerships. Some draught offerings might come online in the initial rollout as well.
Company examines how water sources impact beer style

According to Dow Water and Process Solutions, a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Co., Midland, Mich., water makes up 90 percent of most beers and can determine the type of beer brewed.
Representing the “Tenth” reference in Tenth and Blake Beer Co., the 10th Street Brewery in Milwaukee is one of the company’s smallest, most experimental breweries, says Tom Cardella, president and chief executive officer of the Chicago-based MillerCoors division of craft and import brands.
Manufacturers and operators of machinery and equipment for the brewing industry must develop a highly integrated approach to energy and media efficiency, starting from the delivery of raw materials, auxiliaries and resources through optimizing mashing and cooking processes, using compressed air, treating wastewater and developing sanitation systems.
In celebration of its sixth anniversary, Beachwood Brewing released Beachwood Six Smoked Saison on draft at Beachwood BBQ restaurants in Seal Beach and Long Beach, Calif., and in bottles at select retailers in southern California.
