E. & J. Gallo Winery (Gallo), Modesto, Calif., announced that its spirits division has signed an agreement to acquire Agave Loco LLC, the owner of RumChata, a leading cream liqueur brand.

One Rock Capital Partners LLC, in partnership with Metropoulos & Co., announced completion of the previously announced acquisition of Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA) from Nestlé S.A.

Nestlé USA, Arlington, Va., announced that it has acquired Essentia Water, Bothell, Wash. Essentia pioneered ionized alkaline water more than 20 years ago and is a leading brand in that space in the United States. This transaction is part of Nestlé's continued transformation of its global water business, which was announced in June 2020. The company is sharpening its portfolio to focus on international premium and mineral water brands and healthy hydration products, such as functional water.

PowerPlant Ventures announced that the fund has acquired ZICO coconut water from The Coca-Cola Co., Atlanta. PowerPlant Ventures, a growth equity investor, was co-founded and is co-led by Mark Rampolla, who is the brand visionary behind ZICO, which he founded in 2004 and sold to The Coca-Cola Co. in 2013.
