Mountain Dew, a brand of Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo Inc., will make its Mtn Dew Baja Blast carbonated soft drink available at retail for the first time.
In a recently completed survey of 250 companies with direct-store-delivery (DSD) operations, nearly two-thirds of respondents stated that their businesses are becoming more complicated, according to survey sponsor Intermec, an Everett, Wash.-based subsidiary of Honeywell Scanning and Mobility.
According to statistics portal Statista Inc., an estimated 140 million Americans are smartphone users, up from 121.4 million in 2012. The research firm anticipates this number will continue to grow and eclipse the 200 million mark by 2017.

Atlanta-based The Coca-Cola Co.’s Diet Coke brand is moving into the frozen beverage segment with its new Diet Coke Frost beverage. The low-calorie, cherry-flavored, frozen carbonated soft drink (CSD) marks the brand’s first foray into the frozen beverage segment in its 31-year history, the company says.
