Private brand wines offered in Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio varietals

Irving, Texas-based 7-Eleven Inc. announced that it is expanding its selection of private brand wines with the launch of two white wines - Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. The convenience retailer created the Trojan Horse brand for this new line of wines.
With consumers desiring more premium options, White Plains, N.Y.-based HEINEKEN USA took its expertise as a global brewer of major brands, including Heineken and Dos Equis, to embark on a journey to give consumers the premium beer tastes from the diverse sources that they desire.
Although the eCommerce effect has presented a new dynamic for the retail market, the convenience store (c-store) channel has shown itself to be resilient. However, experts note that the channel still is navigating other consumer packaged goods (CPG) trends in order to meet the needs of today’s consumer.

New single-origin coffee hails from Chiapas region of Mexico

7-Eleven Inc., Plano, Texas, introduced its second single-origin coffee. Hailing from the Chiapas region of Mexico, the sustainable, premium coffee is Rainforest Alliance Certified and exclusively available at participating 7-Eleven stores. Last fall, the convenience store retailer introduced its first single-origin coffee, which is sourced from Nicaragua.
The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) hosted its 2016 NACS tradeshow Oct. 19-21 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. With a tradeshow floor encompassing approximately 410,000 square feet, the event featured more than 1,200 exhibiting companies showcasing thousands of new products.
