Argo launches new RTD, cold-brew tea at stores nationwide

Chicago-based Argo Tea announced that is partnering with Whole Foods Market, a wholly owned division of Seattle-based Amazon, to launch a line of ready-to-drink (RTD) cold-brew, single-estate bottled teas into the retailer’s stores nationally. The release of the RTD line follows a successful test of the handcrafted single-estate, cold-brew teas in the company’s Argo Tea cafés last year, the company says.
In the beverage market, as well as other consumable industries, the influence of clean label continues to expand its reach. In fact, in its Top Ten Trends list for 2017, the Netherlands-based Innova Market Insights highlighted how clean label has been a running theme for the market research firm dating back to 2008.

The new design uses the packaging’s label as a platform to speak to its consumers, the company says. “The packaging refresh allowed us to create a way to let our beliefs, our interests and our associations with certain subcultures shine through,” Founders and brothers Graham and Max Fortgang said in a statement.
Lipton, a brand of Pepsi Lipton Tea Partnership between PepsiCo Inc. and Unilever, introduced a new flavor joining its line of ready-to-drink iced teas: Mango.
