The Kraken Rum Co. announced its entry into the ready-to-drink (RTD) category with the release of three new canned cocktails: Kraken & Cola, Kraken Rum Punch and Kraken & Ginger Beer. Kraken & Cola balances cola spices and spiced rum upfront with light citrus on the nose, while the Kraken Rum Punch balances pineapple, cherry and citrus on the nose and finishes with ripe mango and citrus peel, it says. Kraken & Ginger Beer is candied ginger and honey on the nose; woody, spicy ginger starts upfront and lasts throughout, it adds. Kraken Rum ready-made cocktails are 5% ABV and sold in four-pack cans as well as a variety of single-serve tray packs with a suggested retail price of $12.99. The canned cocktails are available and on shelves in select states with additional variants launching nationwide early next year.
